Flashings and Trims for Steel Roofs
Steel flashings and trims are the final steps in completing your roof installation or cladding project, offering enhanced protection, durability and aesthetic appeal. They act as a physical barrier on the corners and edges of the structure, shielding it from damage caused by snow, wind, ice and water. As standard, the metal cladding flashing is available in 3m lengths, but longer sizes are available on request.
Cardinal Steels’ metal roof flashings and trims provide an added layer of protection by sealing vulnerable joints, edges and transitions in the roof or cladding system. They effectively redirect water from melted snow, rain and drainage away from seams, preventing moisture penetration and reducing the risk of leaks, rust and rot.
Crafted from durable steel, these flashings and trims withstand harsh weather conditions, resisting damage from wind, snow and ice. Moreover, their precise installation reinforces structural edges, minimising wind uplift and delivering a seamless, polished finish that enhances both functionality and appearance.

Consistent Colour and High-Quality Finish Roofing Flashes and Trims
Streamlined ordering for a consistent finish
Order your metal edging trim from Cardinal Steels, at the same time as your corrugated sheets or box profile roofing sheets and cladding and we can ensure a consistent colour and high-quality finish. With materials matched in colour and finish, you can deliver a uniform appearance that enhances the overall project aesthetic. For your clients, this means their roof and cladding systems will have a cohesive, professional look that adds value to their property.
Ease of installation and longevity
Our steel roof flashings are designed for quick and easy installation, saving contractors time on-site while ensuring a precise fit. The straightforward fitting process minimises labor costs and reduces project timelines, which benefits both installers and their clients. Once installed, the flashings provide years of maintenance-free protection, giving clients peace of mind and reducing long-term upkeep expenses.
Welted edges for safety and durability
All standard materials are equipped with welted edges (or safety edges) which offer multiple advantages. For contractors, the safer handling during unloading and fitting reduces the risk of injury and makes the installation process smoother. These edges also reinforce the structural integrity of the flashings, preventing warping or a ‘wave’ appearance during fitting. For clients, this translates to a more visually appealing, durable finish that stands up to the elements.
Premium material options for every project
The majority of trims and flashings are manufactured in Plastisol due to its exceptional durability and attractive finish. For contractors, this provides a reliable material that is easy to work with and ensures a polished result. Clients benefit from the longevity and aesthetic appeal of Plastisol, which resists fading, scratching and corrosion over time. Additionally, options in polyester and galvanised finishes offer flexibility to meet specific project needs and budgets, ensuring that every client receives the best solution for their property.
