Natural Daylight for Corrugated Roofs
Brighten up your building without touching the roof structure. Our corrugated roof light sheets are made to match our 13.5/3 corrugated steel roof sheets, with the same 990.6mm cover width, so they sit flush in the run. From workshops and garages to lean-tos and garden buildings, you’ll get plenty of natural light, and the translucent finish keeps your building private.

Big 6 Roof Lights
Alongside our 13.5/3 profile, we supply GRP roof lights in the Big 6 corrugated profile, with Double 6 also available. These larger, deeper corrugations are often found on older fibre cement roofs on farm buildings, barns and outbuildings. A matching roof light is a simple way to bring daylight back in without replacing the whole roof.
Working on an older fibre cement roof? Some older fibre cement sheets contain asbestos, so have the roof checked before cutting, drilling or removing any sheets, and follow HSE guidance.
Fitting Corrugated Roof Lights
Whether you’re re-roofing a workshop or replacing old roof lights on a barn, the same few rules apply when fitting corrugated roof lights.
Keep steel either side
GRP isn’t as strong as steel, so always fit a single roof light between steel sheets rather than running several together. Fitting into a fibre cement roof? Speak to our team first.
Support the overlap
Where a roof light laps onto a steel sheet up the slope, make sure the joint sits over a purlin.
Leave room to move
Use roofing screws with sealing washers through the crown and the pre-drilled holes. Don’t overtighten, as GRP needs space to expand and contract.
Trim safely
Cut with a fine-toothed saw or cutting disc, and wear protective gear, as GRP dust can irritate skin and eyes.
Never Stand on a Roof Light
From above, a weathered roof light can be hard to spot among the sheets around it. Treat every roof light as fragile and keep your weight off it.
Make sure everyone on the roof knows where the roof lights are, uses proper access equipment and follows HSE guidance on fragile roofs.
