Composite Insulated Panels
A composite panel arrives as one component: a rigid insulating core bonded between an outer and an inner steel skin. It is fixed in a single operation, rather than assembling a liner sheet, spacers, insulation and an outer sheet separately on the roof.
That single difference is what makes composite the usual choice on new build. Fewer operations at height means less time on the roof, and a factory-bonded core means the insulation is the same thickness everywhere rather than however it ended up being laid.
Composite against twin skin
A twin skin system builds the same layers up on site. It is more adaptable where the geometry is awkward and can be assembled around existing structure, but it takes longer and depends on the quality of the installation for its performance.
Composite trades that flexibility for speed and consistency.

Cold bridging
With a continuous bonded core, the significant thermal path through a composite panel is at the fixings and the joints. That is a much smaller problem than a built-up system with gaps in the insulation, but it is not nothing, and it is why panel joints and fixing detail matter. Existing buildings
Where a building already has a sound covering, overcladding is often the better route than stripping the roof off to fit composite. It keeps the building in use and avoids the waste of a full replacement.

What Coatings Do We Offer?
We always recommend our PVC Plastisol-coated sheets due to their cost-effectiveness and excellent resistance to abrasion and corrosion. Polyester-coated sheets are also a high-quality, versatile option suitable for both box profile and corrugated roofing sheets. However, care must be taken to avoid scratching during handling and installation.
