Box Profile Cladding Sheets Cut to Size
Box profile is the most widely specified cladding profile on modern commercial and agricultural buildings. Its deep, evenly spaced ribs give the sheet stiffness along its length and a crisp, contemporary appearance that suits new build work particularly well.
We manufacture box profile wall sheets in CS32/1000 and CS34/1000, cut to your exact length up to 12m and supplied in 0.5mm as standard for cladding. Other thicknesses are available on request, and 0.7mm is worth asking about on exposed sites or where the cladding is within reach of machinery.
Every sheet is made to order at our Bromsgrove facility. Nothing is cut on site, which matters more than it sounds: a cut edge exposes bare steel and is where corrosion starts, as our guide to cut edge corrosion explains.

Where it goes
Box profile cladding is the default on factories and warehouses, portal frame units and modern agricultural buildings. It suits any elevation that is flat, is being clad in one operation, and where a contemporary appearance is wanted.

What Coatings Do We Offer?
We always recommend our PVC Plastisol-coated sheets due to their cost-effectiveness and excellent resistance to abrasion and corrosion. Polyester-coated sheets are also a high-quality, versatile option suitable for both box profile and corrugated roofing sheets. However, care must be taken to avoid scratching during handling and installation.

Specifying box profile cladding
The main decision is rail spacing. Box profile’s rib depth means it spans further between rails than a shallower profile, which can reduce the amount of supporting steelwork needed. Where you are cladding an existing frame, the rails are already fixed and their spacing may decide the profile for you.
The second decision is sheet length. Because we cut to length up to 12m, most elevations can be clad from head to base in a single sheet. That removes every horizontal lap, and with it the joint most likely to let water track back behind the cladding.

Where the building is heated, or condensation on the inner face would be a problem, look at insulated wall cladding instead of a single skin.

What goes with it
Cladding is rarely the whole order. Flashings and trims close the corners, reveals and junctions, and are made to suit the profile. Fixings need to match the rail material, and the guidance on choosing fixings applies to walls as much as roofs.

Can I use box profile cladding on a curved wall?
Not really. Box profile resists bending along its length, which is what makes it stiff, and that same stiffness stops it taking up a curve cleanly. Use corrugated cladding where the elevation curves.

Can box profile cladding match my existing building?
If the existing profile is still a current product, yes. If it is not, we manufacture bespoke and obsolete profiles in-house to match.
